Mohammad Mortoja, the father of a one year old girl, was recently diagnosed with life threatening disease leukemia (Bone Marrow Blood Cancer). Mortoja or his fami ly members did not realise this problem until it was diagnosed on earlier this month as Doctosr initially suspected he had Dengue fever.

According to medical report from Apollo Hospital, Dhaka he is in early stages of the leukemia and needs to start treatment immediately to stop the spread out of the Cancer.

Currently, he has been taken to Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore for further treatment. According to Mortoja’s wife (Ivy), treatment will cost approximately1.20 Core (Taka) which is approximately equivalent to AUD200, 000 (Two Hundred thousand dollars).

According to Singapore Medical centre, the treatment requires Chemo therapy to cure him and the estimated cost for each Chemo that includes monitoring and medication is about 50/60 lakhs Taka.

As a friend and on behalf of Mortoja’s family, we have appealed for financial help to all possible sources. After learning Mortoja’s ill fate and his family’s financial situation, his employer The City bank Ltd, colleagues from his work place, School friends from Comilla, Friends from Dhaka University Physics Department and so many well-wishers from abroad are opening their hands to help.

We humbly request all of our friends, community members in Melbourne and their families and friends at home and overseas and other community members to help Mortoja’s family along with us.
