Band Lalon

Band Lalon was formed in the year 2003 at Khulna Bangladesh by lead vocal Sumi. The band moved to Dhaka and released first audio album ‘Biprotip’ in 2007 from Sound Machine. The current lineup Sumi on Vocal, Masum on Guitar, Leemon on Guitar, Sento on bass, Titi on Drums started working for second album ‘Khepa’ and released in 2009 from Sound Machine. Album Khepa took Band lalon to a new height of wide recognition among listeners in the country and abroad. Band Lalon became BAMBA (Bangldesh musical bands association) member in year 2009.

Band Lalon music style is Bangla folk rock fusion mostly influenced by great Fakir Lalon Shai songs.

All Band Lalon tracks are not from Fakir Lalon Shai songs but the essence of Lalon Shai is reflected on some of their own tracks written by Asikh, Baul Shofy Mondol, Raju (F Rajib), Kamrul Islam. Band Lalon compose songs with a view to create new sound of folk music. Band Lalon is committed to give new height to folk music of Bangladesh. Band Lalon looks forward contribute to Bangla music heritage and represent Baul lifestyle in a contemporary rock band format. Band Lalon is grateful and would like to thank all the fans, listeners, well wishers, sponsors, family and friends through out our band’s journey.
